Eastern Europe, April 2007:
Wendy and Dave backpacking through 4 COUNTRIES IN 2 WEEKS!

Czech Republic:

Around Prague
I can't wait to go back to Prague! It was our favorite city on the whole trip!

KUTNÁ HORA, Czech Republic
The Bone Church. I've wanted to visit it for years after seeing it inthe opening credits of "Millennium". You can read more about it here.

Vienna, Austria:
Vienna is AWESOME. I want to go back. Chocolate cake for breakfast...Mmmm...

Around Vienna
St. Stephen's Cathedral
Lipizzaner Horses
Art and Music

Budapest, Hungary:

Around Budapest
Statue Park in Budapest
Commies aren't cool, but we couldn't resist visiting this park full of Communist-era statues, removed from Budapest's streets...Viva La Reagan Revolucion!

Romania:

Sighisoara
Birthplace of Vlad the Impaler (Dracula). Notice all the Vlad icons, sculptures, and paintings. He is a hero to the Romanians and he's EVERYWHERE!

Brasov
The city of Brasov and Bran Castle (the fake "Dracula's Castle")

Carpathian Mountains
Dave and I hitched a ride with a guy through the Transylvania countryside. Most of the photos were taken by me (Wendy) from the back seat of the car, which was usually going WAY too fast for the messed-up roads on the hillsides. These are my favorite photos from Romania!

Curtea de Arges, Romania
This was the last stop on our trip before we flew out of Bucharest. It's a beautiful little town...wish we'd had more time to spend there.

Transylvania, Romania
A trip to the REAL Dracula's castle! Read the story and view the slideshow!
