Last night I had a crazy dream
A wish was granted just for me
It could be for anything
I didn't ask for money
Or a mansion in Malibu
I simply wished
for one more day with you

One more day, one more time
One more sunset,
maybe I'd be satisfied
But then again,
I know what it would do
Leave me wishing still
for one more day with you

First thing I'd do
is pray for time to crawl
I'd unplug the telephone,
keep the TV off
I'd hold you every second
Say a million "I Love You's"
That's what I'd do
with one more day with you

One more day, one more time
One more sunset,
maybe I'd be satisfied
But then again,
I know what it would do
Leave me wishing still
for one more day with you

MORE PICTURES OF MOM

This is my mom, Carole Smith.

She died ten days after my twenty-fourth birthday. She left behind six of us who called her "mom": Timbo, Corky, Buddy, Tracee, Gabe, and myself. I called her my best friend.

*****************************************

"Being a mother is just one option for women. Many hard battles have been fought to win political and economic equality for women. These gains will not be worth much if reproductive choice is denied. To be able to choose a safe, legal abortion makes many other options possible. Otherwise an accident...can end a woman's economic and personal freedom."

- from the web site of Planned Parenthood

Thank you, Mom, for sacrificing your "economic and personal freedom" to take care of your kids and husband. The self-centered witches who lead the abortion rights movement couldn't accomplish in a month what you did in a single afternoon on any given day of your adult life.

Thanks for not giving up on any of us while we were still in the womb (or any time afterwards.) Thanks for making every baseball game, volleyball match, track meet, wrestling match, softball game, wheelchair race, basketball game, awards banquet, soccer match, football game, Christmas pageant, and Special Olympics event. Thank you for shaping us into the people we are right now.

And thanks for giving us Timbo.
